Anyone support Manufacturing Company?

If so, I'm curious about what inventory management software you see used. Is it a purchased solution or some type of custom created solution?

I'm looking for something that would allow the laborers to scan the raw material as it is used and the final product as it is finished for shipping. This would in turn need to update the inventory system with the new quantities of raw and stock materials.

Any information you can provide is appreciated even if it doesn't sound like a fit for what I described.

You may look at Salesforce, the community is huge. Someone probably already made an application for exactly like that. And no servers to maintain etc. The company and support and community is excellent with helping you do what your trying to do.

I believe one of our larger manufacturing companies uses Sage 300 ERP. It might be more than what you are looking for. They have used it prior to us managing them and they also have support through their vendor so we rarely have to deal with it so Im not too familiar with it's capabilities, I just know they pretty much use it to manage every aspect of their company.
