I'm looking for a good free program, anybody tried Mikogo? oh never mind, I just read its limited to 10 users!!!

I think it's limited to 10 users at a time, not 10 total users. Unless I read it wrong. I've never used it though. Quoted from their site

I might try this just for the heck of it.

From their forum: It is not possible to start more than 1 session as organizer. However, you can ask the second person to start the session and you can join. Then he only needs to grant you remote control.

hmm, I just read this http://download.cnet.com/Mikogo/3640-2654_4-10697957.html?v=1&sb=1&tag=uo;uo and thought thats what it meant, I may give it a try too, never heard of it before.
 
I'm going to give this product a try. I never heard of it before and it sounds like it might be usefull. :D

Mikogo not only does remote control, but is also a free alternative to GoToMeeting. I believe the "limited to 10 users" statement refers to how many people you can have in your meeting.

Mikogo is a great way to get Remote Control AND set up online meetings, webinars, training sessions, etc. And regrding remote control, your customer has the peace of mind knowing you cannot get into their computer without them typing in the session-generated passcode.
 
I used Mikogo last week with Sage to demo some new software, found it very good and fast. dont think i personaly would class it as a remote support tool, mainly for presetations
 
I've used it once and it was great. I don't really do remote sessions a lot so i haven't tried it since. I've also used go-to-assist express and found it comparable in terms of speed (it was to the same person).
 
I have been looking into using Mikogo for Remote Access support for my customers. I can't justify the cost of Instant House call or Teamviewer as it will be something that I will rarely use. However I am sure it will be handy for some of those niggly little jobs. I will have to see how it goes, but it's looking promising. The only thing it doesn't do is restart and re-connect.
 
I use Techinline and am very pleased with it. It avoids problem with routers and firewalls by using them as an intermediary server. Simple for users and technicians to set up and use, very responsive, brandable, works with all Windows versions and they have a free 14-day trial. Requires an active-X control but that hasn't been a problem, as it installs it (after asking permission) when the customer makes the first connection. It doesn't handle automatic reconnection but works fine in Safe mode with networking. Since I'm talking with the customer on the phone to guide them through starting up remote access, I have had no problem guiding them through starting up in Safe mode or reconnecting after reboots.

The price can't be beat for those who do just a little of remote support. $60USD bought 20 sessions, i.e., $3/session, and reconnections within 12 hours of the first don't count as new sessions. Their tech support is excellent, too, when I e-mail to ask that they consolidate multiple connections into a single session if cookies have been removed between connections. I put a page on my web site so customers can read how it works and it makes it easy to guide them. I explain that once the connection is broken, they have to start a new connection, which re-assures them that I can't spy on them with a persistent, silent connection.
