We've gotten 6x Dell Inspiron/XPS desktops in the last week with the same problem. SIX! They've ranged from 2nd gen to 6th gen Intel processors. The computer will freeze up completely after about 5 minutes. Even the mouse cursor freezes. Obviously we're recommending replacing these systems, but some clients can't afford to. I'd really like to get to the bottom of what's causing this. Some of the systems had Windows 10, others were upgraded to Windows 11 even though the hardware is unsupported. I ran memtest on most of them and the memory came back without issues. I tried replacing the power supply on some of them with no luck. I'm thinking it's a Windows update that's causing this but as far as I know, Windows 10 is no longer getting updates and none of these systems were enrolled in the ESU program. But something's changed with Windows that's causing these computers to freeze.
