We've gotten 6x Dell Inspiron/XPS desktops in the last week with the same problem. SIX! They've ranged from 2nd gen to 6th gen Intel processors. The computer will freeze up completely after about 5 minutes. Even the mouse cursor freezes. Obviously we're recommending replacing these systems, but some clients can't afford to. I'd really like to get to the bottom of what's causing this. Some of the systems had Windows 10, others were upgraded to Windows 11 even though the hardware is unsupported. I ran memtest on most of them and the memory came back without issues. I tried replacing the power supply on some of them with no luck. I'm thinking it's a Windows update that's causing this but as far as I know, Windows 10 is no longer getting updates and none of these systems were enrolled in the ESU program. But something's changed with Windows that's causing these computers to freeze.

I wouldn’t waste time on a Windows 10 install. If you are going to sell outdated hardware then the Rufus bypass method of installing a fresh copy of Windows 11 is on you.

I don't have an issue with reselling old hardware but if it doesn't natively support Windows 11 it gets Linux. I would say if a regular client is requesting it and the only thing that I see blocking it is the specific CPU generation I would consider it as I have done this for my Wife's 2in1 Laptop/Tablet.
