Can anyone shed some light on antivirus and Windows 10 compatibly, I been ask twice today whether Kaspersky Home Security 2015 will work on Windows 10, It's the first time I been asked about antivirus
working on Windows 10, If I'm honest it the first time anyone ask about Windows 10.

My understanding is that since there is no stable or release yet, Kaspersky will not support it. So right now I don't see any mention for Windows 10 support but I am sure that once it comes out they will support it, but it might not be for a short while after it comes out.

Could not find "Kaspersky Home Security 2015" product on their site. Nearest I could find is this "Kaspersky Internet Security 2015" under the Home tab http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/internet-security#Feature3
System requirements shows "Microsoft Windows 10 RTM (32-bit or 64-bit" but with **

** At this time, the functionality of the following components is partially limited when using Windows 10 RTM: System Watcher, System memory scan, Self-Defense. Product is not intended to operate on Windows 10 Mobile editions.
For full details on the limitations, please visit http://support.kaspersky.com/.

So they have an AV product that does not scan system memory properly.
Outstanding.

I believe the question was asked because the customer would not be happy with having Windows 10 with the default antivirus,
( Windows Defender) I myself have been telling customers not to be in a hurry, give it a couple of months.
But these two are in a hurry and I honestly never thought about antivirus compatibly with Windows 10 and after having a look
around I find that with some of the antivirus there have been problems, Kaspersky being one of them, however this is only on the
Technical Preview version, I assume that all the antivirus company's will have sorted any problems out very fast on the release
of Windows 10.

Back to the OP and ignoring the garbage. I'd simply make sure the systems are kept up to date and maybe install MBAM Pro. Anything more will just slow the system and cause more issues than an infection would.

LMFAO! LMFAO some more...

...and some more.

Good grief dude...really.

And "ignore the garbage"? Your fired the first shot...don't play dumb.

Will Bitdefender 2015 be compatible with Windows 10?
Bitdefender is committed to delivering innovative and effective security solutions to you. This is why the latest Bitdefender version, 2015, will become fully compatible with Windows 10 as soon as the new operating system will be released.

If you want to be sure you’re installing the compatible version properly, don’t forget to check back here and follow the steps that will be posted.

Bitdefender say 'don't worry, everything will be fine' and it might be, but on the other hand...

I personally don't use AV and I no longer recommend it. To each person who had a smart ass remark, :x. Simple as that.

This isn't a matter of preference, it's a matter of what we're hired to support Most of us here (eyeballs the crowd...lingers on a suspect or two)....support computers for a living. Probably > 50% of us here support business networks for a living. And make damn good money doing it. Business networks, as much as you personally dislike it, usually run on Windows. It is not our choice, it is the choice of the long list of business apps that a business selects to run on. Much to your dislike, a good widely compatible list of apps, for *nix, is.....a really REALLY short list and not that popular.

Much as I love some *nix distros, and *nix firewalls...having played with them probably back when you were still a tadpole doing laps in your daddys nuts.....I can preach to the SMB choir all I want about it, and not get anywhere...and come home with a paycheck that miiiiight be double digits. Nah...I'd rather support a good widely popular Windows setup for SMBs...and get those paychecks each week with a comma in it.

This is why I LFMAO at your self elected attempts at speaking on a soap box about antivirus. Most of us know *nix is quite resistant (not 100%) Yes we all know it's safer than Windows. We know that.

We know that.

We know that already..

..get it?

That's not the point. We're here to collect money for supporting Microsoft.
