i've read an article a while ago by technibble saying a way to make a little extra money is to buy multiple license virus protection and sell them individually. has anyone tried this cause im thinking of purchasing kaspersky 10 pack license and reselling them individually to make about 10 bucks on each license or more maybe. it it just 1 serial or 10 diff ones (which seems unlikely lol) and have yall ever had a problem with the customer figuring out its a multiple license or them actually using it on multiple computers and running you licenses down??

There seperate licences, 1 USER - 1 YEAR LICENCE because there a OEM licence you would have to sell them some hardware like a mouse, thats the rules for OEM software.:)
There's a clue in your question - 10 pack licence - meaning you get a 10 licences, licences are sold by user so if it was for 10 users it would be 10 user pack.

I don't remember that article, do you have a link? I'm pretty sure what you're asking is against every license agreement.

Thats specifically a Microsoft rule. That does not apply to all OEM sales just Microsoft's OEM sales.

I don't think you can do this. Each computer uses the same license code and I believe once it is activated on one, the time counts down for the other computers. Plus, I don't think you are legally allowed to resell them in that way.

However, Kaspersky's website has a FAQ question that says you can purchase a license with someone else for 3 computers, and split the license between the computers you own. They are the ones that issue the licenses, so they can make crazy rules like that, I am pretty sure you can't.

If you are referring to OEM copies of Kaspersky, they are incredibly cheap ($10) but you need to sign an additional agreement with them to purchase them, and agree to only install them on new computers you create and sell as a free service for your customer. So, you can't charge extra for it. If people are selling them, then they have other issues with Kaspersky to deal with.

I am a Kaspersky partner, but honestly the cheapest way to get Kaspersky is to buy licenses off of Amazon or something. Even the cost of Kaspersky at my local Walmart is cheaper than I can get it from D&H or through other "official" routes.

edit: Pulled this from the FAQ also:

If you have bought a license for a number of computers (2, 3, 5), then these activations have to be completed within 30 days of the first activation to benefit from the full license period in each case.

As I said before the 10 pack licences you get 10 licences and 10 CD'S which are OEM for 1 user and for 1 year, its the same product why you buy 1 OEM CD but with the packs you get 10 of them.
