Currently my customer database essentially is my Gmail contact list. This is advantageous because:
1. Whenever anyone calls, I can immediately see the name and picture of who is calling
2. It automatically syncs between my computer and my phone

However, if my Gmail account was ever compromised, it would be a problem as there is customer information in there that should not be public. I could store it securely in my LastPass account but then it's a hassle having to log in to that every time I want to see customer info.

Is there a secure AND convenient way of doing this?

Have you enabled 2 level authentication for you google accounts. That will give your account considerably more security then a simple password. What kind of data are you storing in your accounts. I hope it isn't customer cc records as that is illegal. I wouldn't store client password data in a google account either. I would not think that client passwords would need to be THAT readily accessible. What happens if someone steals your phone eh?

I have a similar setup where my most important clients are in my Google contacts, Android phone, SIP phone etc.
I have a lock on my Android phone and I have set up Google 2-Factor authentication.
There is also the option to remotely wipe and disable the phone with Avast for Android.
