Hello all,

Been looking for an app that would let me take my agreement to work on equipment, including legal terms, and other documents and have them signed on my tablet?

Any suggestions? As usual a million apps seem to do this, hard to decide which is good.

Thanks!

Not sure if there is an app that would have an agreement worded exactly perfect to fit your organization and policies but you could do as we do and incorporate something similar on your website and have a disclaimer page they must agree to prior to booking an appt. It works very well for us.

How does that work if their computer or Internet doesn't work? I know many people have alternate ways to get access but I was just wondering if this has ever been a problem. How does your insurance company feel about that compared to having a written signature on file? I'd like a high tech solution as well, but I think the liability keeps us printing work orders.

thanks for the ideas..I am just trying to minimize paper as much as I can. since I lose it :P

I have found a few pdf signing apps so I am going to try those and see what happens...

Richmond Tech,

This is our primary option to minimize paper usage. If they have no internet access we take the appt via phone and have them sign the paperwork upon arrival or upon bringing into the store.

There is nothing more solid then a good old signature but we utilize an appointment system called "dayclips" that requires an authorized login to schedule a service calls for corporate clients and it saves a ton of paperwork is completely secure.

There is an app called fill and sign PDF forms (free) available https://market.android.com/details?id=biz.binarysolutions.fasp&feature=search_result I have it downloaded and installed onto my phone at the moment but I have yet to figure out how to create a PDF with the correct fields for me at the moment, but I do admit I have not spent much time playing with the program as I use a database in filemaker to generate Job Sheets and invoices and I believe it does not support creating PDf's with empty fields

Sadly signatures is one thing Android seems to be lagging in, but it is catching up fast. I haven't seen anything like this yet, but hopefully with the increase in tablets soon one will pop up..

I've just started using SignMyPad, it is a paid app, but not very expensive.

This lets you capture digital signatures, and place them on PDFs. You don't need fillable PDFs, as it basically just takes the signature (or text, date, whatever info you add), and then you can place it where you want it on the PDF. Once all done, you can email it, save it, etc.

+1 for SignMyPad. I just started using it and overall am happy with it. I didnt find any other pdf signing apps for android that were not a pain to use or overly buggy.
