After you remove a virus do you put ANTI-VIRUS on?

The idea of taking that and selling it to 3 different people is kinda pizza-techie IMO. OP is more worried about his credit card terminal.

It's also against the EULA for Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 (13.0.0.3370), section 2.5 regarding license transfer, and seems to be in violation of 6.3 as well, regarding keeping your activation code/license from 3rd parties.

I always have supplied clients with a free AV program as standard if they do not currently own one.

I would let them know of the benefits of a paid version but I don't try and earn money from AV solutions.

I try not to judge but that guy was just silly. I just hope that he gets his credit card terminal installed in his mailbox or wherever he sees fit.

like after you guys remove a virus do you ask the customer if they want to buy the full version of antivirus or do you put a 30day trial on? on my first 2 computers I do 30 day trial of Norton and 30 day trial of AVG internet security 2013. but I am sick of having to get a product key from avg each time, is there an easier way to do it?

I'd agree with that assumption. Most forums track IP addresses with posts. Perhaps he used the same email address for every registration? But for him to come back 5 times for more advice, that really says something about Technibble being the best source for tech advice, regardless of whether or not it was followed.

but he did say used on ebay though. I didnt get rich from him. I got over eager to a fault. He wanted to do good but with taking advice. i found his thread entertaining. Made me laugh a few times.

When you have an Administrator/Moderator account in vBulletin (this forum engine)...you can see the IP address currently being used by a visitor right on the main forum pages. You can also dig into the Admin panel, drill into the users...and see details about their account..such as the last bunch of IP addresses they visited from, as well as the e-mail account used to sign up.

Also there is "behavior"...one can recognize personality types....a useful tool you can utilize when you get troublesome members that come in from IPs commonly used by proxy services (trying to hide their actual IP address).

Correct. I also use iplocator.net to track where suspicious people are coming from. Some people sign up and say they are from the US but their IP says they are from India, Pakistan or other far away places.

Hey, I know I don't post often, honestly I spend most of my time Lurking and Learning because there is no point in rehashing easy to find information but this is one of the best resources I have found. That being said reading this post was truly a pleasure. Granted it was originally a pretty cut and dry never put two AV's on a system and don't ever use Norton it did have some interesting conversation and was really funny at times. I just wanted to say thank you.
