I have set up a website offering online remote pc repair to customers (fixitremote.co.uk), I am struggling to market my website to bring in customers, I have tried Google adwords and have had little success. Does any one have any ideas on how a remote support website could be advertised?

Many Thanks

James

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the Teamviewer licence?

I would like to get a branded one to use as well..

They are quite expensive and I must admit I was very reluctant to spend that kind of money. However I found that their remote support software was one of the most reliable that I have used.

Also, when people land on your front page,
the first impression is that
they have to book an appointment through the form/email?

That's not why they landed on your page, they want help straight away: make the phone number more obvious, or add a chat service, so they can get in touch straight away.

Also, doesn't teamviewer have a "I'm online" button/service? NTRglobal does: your remote desktop machine will contact your providers remote desktop service, which then updates the button/logo on your site to "I'm online".

I don't use fancy stuff like this (I use SingleClick from ultraVNC), so in stead of the 'online' button, I have my phone number right next to my remote desktop link.

moreover, just checked out your remote desktop page (http://www.fixitremote.co.uk/remote_support.html): the phone number just isn't visible enough.

Do not expect website visitors to go hunting for a telephone number or email address; you have to stick it in their face and make things really convenient and really obvious

I try to think of websites like billboards. You only have a short amount of time to get your information to the "customer" so you better be efficient at communicating your ideas and as said before make it very convenient.

People don't want to wait, search or really even read much more than they have to.
