Who else is getting sick and tired of the constant need for updates to Acrobat? The quarterlies are one thing, but it seems every time you open a pdf, Acrobat needs to download another patch to plug yet another security hole. Suddenly, I'm missing Acrobat 7.

I know a lot of you use alternatives to Acrobat, but most of the world we live in does not. Therefore, we're the ones left dealing with phone calls asking "what's this acrobat update thingy popping up in my tray?" Oh, and the damn thing once again recreates their damn desktop shortcut and startup entries!!:mad::mad:

These are some of the things that make me the angry geek!!

Yeah, they annoy me too. It seems every other time I restart my laptop I get a message from flash asking me to update. Problem is, it doesn't matter how many patches adobe release, their products are heavily exploitable to the point where they pose major security risks, yet are installed on 95% of all pcs in the world! I removed adobe reader because it's so insecure and replaced it with foxit reader, but 'they' really need to make a free alternative to flash without the holes
