Accepting Credit cards?

I have a Toshiba tablet.. im gonna use intuit and when get my iphone switch to iphone.. or I may buy a ipad and run all bsuienss off that

Square's rates are better... and you can get the reader at Walmart.

PayAnywhere's rates are better still.

But... both require you to have a bank account to direct deposit to. Paypal Here might be your best bet for immediate use.
 
In 3-4 years I never passed a single credit card.

As soon as I got the system up and ready, +3k$ /month transaction on credit cards, people just love it.

I think it's a big ++ for any business, and it goes directly into your bank account.
 
stripe.com another good choice. Works like a charm with Freshbooks. Automated charges feature priceless.

yes, I have decided on paypal here only for the debit card... but will soon be getting First data and one of there termains(im buying it for 600$) and they cost is 5/99 a month

EDIT!!!!!! bank of America offers better rates and the same reader but cheaper.. so im looking into this now

Like I've said a few times.... SAVE YOUR MONEY -- GET A USED UNIT! We picked up a bunch of them used for 1/4 retail -work great
 
1. Go and open a business bank account. Now all the major banks have phone app that allow you to take picture if check and deposit it.

2. Get square for free! Or any other company...

3. If you dont have few hundred checks a month, you don't need terminal. It will cost you more for in the fees then u will be having checks.

Spend your money rather on good tools then paying fees.

Get a tablet to use with it and a stylus how would that be unprofessional? If its staying in an office fabricate a mount for the counter for it.
 
Now that the banks are tightening the noose on cheques in the U.K. and with the onset of our R.S. I'm looking around for a mobile option to take Debit and Credit card payments in the office and out on the road.

We have a PayPal account but the reader isnt available here yet!
Square only works for US and Canada
MPowa hasnt launched their chip n pin reader yet either.

If anyone in the U.K. has any other mobile options for taking payments please let me know ;)
 
On the blurb I read it can use Amex, Mastercard and Visa. There's also a facility to take "manual payments" at a higher fee. I'm guessing these refer to the payee not being present.

So hopefully we are catching up at last :D

We use Intuit Go Payment. We stopped using square because of how the transaction came into our bank account. It throws off quickbooks. Square takes the money out before they deposit it to your account. If you want to keep your books balanced correctly avoid using square. With the Go Payment, the full amount is deposited, and then a separate transaction is done where they take their merchant fees.

That is one way to look at it. Another is that every unmet need is an opportunity waiting for some one.
