Hello Guys,

I have a laptop (Acer Aspire 5920G), and it is running Duo Processor T5750, which I understand to be a 64 Bit.

Now this is a basic question, but I'll ask it nevetheless. As far as I know you can't install a 64 Bit OS on a 32 Bit system and vice versa. Can someone please confirm or deny this for me.

We can't find or install one driver. I also understand this is common with 64 bit OS, again please confirm or deny this as a common problem.

At the moment we are in a process of installing all the drivers from Acer site.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

'Systems' aren't 32 or 64 bit, you're talking about the processor architecture. Modern processors usually will work for either, but if you installed a 64 bit OS on a machine you may find it difficult to find drivers for example. Operating System's (depending on which OS obviously) generally come in 32 and 64 bit versions.

This isn't necessarily a problem with the 64bit OS, it's just for the last few years most systems have been 32bit, whereas now with bigger and better machine, 64bit is punching through.
