I have an old p4 gateway that needs a new power supply, the problem is it has the old 6 pin auxiliary power cable. In my research it is related to more voltage to the agp pro video card. I can't find a power supply with this plug in new or used, so I pulled and old 350 watt out of another computer and put in and it works fine so far. any of yo had this problem and what did you do?

Yep, that's just an example of change for change's sake, or maybe a change not done radical enough (combining a 20-pin ATX connector with old AT-style 6-pin one)

All you can do is try and find a PSU of the same age, or use a small rack-mountable & power-efficient box (Soekris, VIA Epia, SUN Netra, etc...) to act as a gateway/router/VPNendpoint, ditching the old noisy power-hungry i386 platform
