17 Year-old Entrepreneur looking for advice!

I also agree to raise your price. I am reading a really good marketing book and they talk about having close price to competitors. If you charge cheap you look cheap.

Also a professional appearance will deff. help.

I need some advice with my pricing if anyone could help?

I currently charge $35/hour for Residential and $40/hour for businesses. I also charge a flat rate yearly fee for maintenance contracts per computer.

From all the advice everyone has given me, I want to up my prices, but what should I chage? I dont want to do anything really drastic to scare my current clients. Also, I was thinking of starting to charge monthly for my maintenance contracts. What do you think? What do you guys do in terms on maintenance contracts?

Also, I am really looking into expanding my business. I have a couple of friends at school who are willing to work for me, but the business load I currently have is not enough to hire them part time. Any advertising or promotional ideas?

Thanks alot everyone!
Prices vary greatly across areas, so it's pointless to ask a forum inhabited by people across multiple countries what a fair price is. You would be better off looking at what other people charge in your area.

Thanks for the advice! I will see about averaging local hourly rates.

Did you look hard at your Premium Monthly Maintenance Service fees? That is like $2.50/hour for the "personal service" part of your package. I could buy up that service and resell it for $500-1000/year. :)

Have you thought about basing it on a monthly fee so there is cash flow all year long? You can have a maintenance contract to cover the period of the service.

Hi Tom,

Well, I would not mind that ;) Anyway, thanks for the advice. I am thinking of changing over the monthly maintenance contracts to a monthly fee rather than billing yearly. What do you charge for maintenance?

Thanks!
