I have several stub/placeholder sites that I have on WordPress instances right now that I'm planning to drop to plain HTML (probably using something from https://html5up.net for simplicity).
Once upon a time it made sense to just throw things up on WP quickly, but now it's more annoying than anything else (I'm using the Shield plugin so I'm getting 20-40 alerts/day of attempts being blocked on sites that don't even have any active content).
