It's official, Toshiba has exited the laptop business and sold the division to Sharp under the Dynabook brand.

Toshiba will officially no longer be making PCs. To be fair, in recent years it had taken a step back from making laptops, but this goes beyond that. It’s a complete exit.

In a little-reported press release published this week, Toshiba issued a short and to-the-point statement announcing that it had transferred its remaining minority stake in its personal computer business to Sharp. Toshiba sold 80.1% of this business unit, which its new owners renamed Dynabook, to Sharp in 2018, retaining 19.9% of shares. Sharp currently sells laptops under the Dynabook name.

I think they got out of it a few years ago
I saw Toshiba and Sharp TV's so cheap I thought how can that be for a premium Japanese brand I was told the names had been bought out

The one thing I will miss about Toshiba is the ASP portal, where they listed images and password resets, top notch compared to other companies. They had service and images down to a T. Other companies just never had the organizational skills for that. Even HP with it's big corporate base was muddled when it came to finding things.
