Hi, I have a clean install of vista from a acronis universal image from another pc (used driver packs with it) with a bsod on boot, safe mode too, also checked the bios and switched sata settings, no go. The stop error is 0X0000007B (0X80399BB0, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)
which tells me its possibly the disk driver, anybody know of a tool I can use to boot from to disable the bad driver easily? ERD shows me all the drivers but I have no way of telling whos the culprit and there is nothing in error reports.

SOLVED: this is bizzare, on a whim I tried the last known good option (which I assume would fail cuz it hasn't ever gotten to the desktop yet) from f8 and it worked???! nevermind..........
