Im thinking about saving up for my own PC since i have to abide by my parents rules on the home PC Would The Dell Dimension

I rekon thats ok since it wont be keeping all of those specs for very long anyway...
Im looking at Proabbly swapping my videocards out of my Home PC witch is A geforce 6600GT so i have the better one and getting more ram.:cool:
 
First of all, avoid anything brandname. Even though their specs are good there is something about them that make them run poorly.

I am assuming you want this to be a gaming machine so I would go with 512mb ram minimum and steal that 6600GT out of that other PC. Just be aware of the type of slot the 6600GT has. It might be AGP or PCI-X and you need to make sure the motherboard of the new PC has the appropriate slot.

I dont know too much about Windows Media Edition but I dont think it'll be good for an all round desktop PC, but I may be wrong.
