[REQUEST] iPhone6+ firmware restore help

Hi,

I am currently restoring an iPhone 6+ but it is taking forever to download - 27 hours more right now to finish.

I have downloaded a signed firmware from ipsw.me using a multidownloader which completed successfully. I copied the file into the Apple Software Update folder. Now, when I opened up iTunes, it detected the phone but didn't use the downloaded firmware I placed in the Software Update folder.

Can someone let me know if I'm doing this wrong please? I was hoping iTunes will use the firmware I placed there.

Hi Guys,

Solved this.. hold down the Shift key and click Update / Restore button. It will then allow you to browse to the downloaded file.

Feel like slapping my face.. lol!
