We aren't allowed to buy, use or have fireworks in our possession, unless you're a club or organisation with appropriate permits and a registered "Pyrotechnic Officer."

When I was a kid in Brazil in the late '60's early '70's the fireworks industry was virtually unregulated. We used to go to the outdoor markets to get many things and the fireworks stands were there in force for holidays. Almost every man working at those were missing at least one finger. Incredibly it didn't phase my parents so we bought what ever we, as kids, could afford. And that was a lot since we had USD. Fortunately I made it out with all my fingers and toes even after doing some pretty stupid things.

Wait when did you move to Nashville as I seem to recall you operated in a different state before.

I didn't watch the Downtown ones I live just outside the city and my local city had its own we got a great view where we sat and watched them this year for it though.
