Google won't accept ads from computer repair/tech support companies!!

So, I couldn't get any of my google ads approved, so I called google and learned that due to the rash of tech support telephone scams, Google has prevented any repair company from advertising on google.

So a few people screw people over and we all have to pay the price. Great.

Here is what is shown no mater how I design my ad,...

Yeah, thankfully we rank #1 within a 10 mile radius on Google Maps so we haven't really been affected by this too badly. I know it put a couple of competitors out of business that relied on Google AdWords for upwards of 90% of their new customer acquisition strategy.

Have you considered trying Bing Ads? Not as popular, but some part of the market is better than none. Otherwise, focus on GMB optimization.

is there any news on this? I have seen some ads for computer repair from the big box stores when I search for computer repair in my area
