My client has been having a problem with sending mail every now and then and upon reviewing their Queues, it looks like an reverse NDR attack. I have enabled filter recipients option in global and virtual smtp settings. It seems to not have helped, still spam coming in and postmaster trying to send out NDRs. I just enabled the tarpit and will monitor if that will help. Am I missing something with the filter recipients function or is this just a dirty email domain that is getting hammered with Spam?

I have activated Tarpit option and so for it looks like it's keeping the spam attacks away. Unfortunately the spam has done its damage and now I have the joy of removing the domain off of a few blacklists. I will probably have my office manager send them over a quote on peer2peer subscription to proxy and block spam before it reaches the exchange server.
