Just curious about the area for work-wise. Wife and I had always spent lots of time multiple times a year down in Bradenton/Sarasota/south Englewood area....but the skyrocketing prices (esp post Ian...insurance related) and increased traffic are spooking her.

We spent a few weeks in the surrounding Crystal River area this past Jan and she loved it. Going back more this year and for several weeks next winter.
Just wondering if anyone from this group is around there, and what business is like in the area. I'm sure not as high as downtown Sarasota or other more packed areas further south, and it looks like the area is growing (lotsa people from farther south moving north post Ian spookiness).

The Crystal River area, located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, is known for its natural beauty, outdoor recreational activities, and manatee population. It offers a more relaxed and laid-back atmosphere compared to the bustling cities further south like Sarasota. The region has been experiencing growth in recent years, attracting people who are looking for a quieter and more affordable alternative to the highly populated areas.

In terms of business, the Crystal River area has a diverse economy that includes industries such as tourism, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and services. The tourism industry is significant, given the area's natural attractions, including Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge and Three Sisters Springs. Additionally, the region's proximity to the water makes it appealing for water-based activities and boating enthusiasts.

However, it's important to note that specific information about the current state of businesses in the Crystal River area, as well as any local perspectives on growth and opportunities, would be best obtained through local sources such as chamber of commerce websites, local business directories, or community forums dedicated to the area. These resources can provide up-to-date insights into the local business climate and community dynamics.
