A common mistake I often see, is MSP’s who think their value comes from just reselling a product or service. The problem is that pretty much everyone else is selling the same thing.

Some try to differentiate saying they are fast or friendly, but everyone says that as well.

And of course another way people try to differentiate is to have a lower price, which is a disastrous race to the bottom. So how can a managed service provider bring more clients? You need a differentiator of some sort. Something unique to your business. That way your prospects can’t compare apples-to-apples.

But that doesn’t mean you have to use different software or technology. You can value-add on top of what you are already offering.

For example, you may sell Office 365 like everyone else. But you can create a training package to help staff wrap their head around the cloud and the new features Office 365 brings.

This could be done by recording just a few videos but adds tremendous value to your offering. And most importantly acts as a differentiator.

Its highly leveraged too because you only really record it once, and it’s a value add-on that’s there for every pitch you do after.

That’s it for this video, I hope that helps. This is Bryce Whitty from Technibble.com
