Word 2013 not able to open documents in windows search

In windows 8.1 for some reason word 2013 will not open a document in search it pops up a request use word 2013 to open this document and remember checked under it but never opens the document.
What is odd in if you try it again on same document it pops up that same request.
Weird thing is i check file association for word 2013 docs are already set to word 2013 but in windows 8.1 search/explorer it fails to open them?.
Word documents will open in word directly with no problems?.

Is this a Click2Run Office installation?
