Hi all,
I can't seem to get a client's Dell Photo 966 AIO printer to re-connect with a Dell Inspiron 1541 laptop 2Gb RAM, using it's wireless capabilities after laptop is shut down.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the setup program from the drivers and utilities CD and was able to print wirelessly after a fresh install. I still have an issue trying to reconnect after shutting down rebooting the laptop. Opening the printers window, I find the printer icon with the green check, but it is a faded image. This usually means a missing driver so I tried another reinstall and... same thing.
Now for the Laptop. I runs the Vista OS that is running extremely slow and seems very unstable (black screen, freezes, etc.). I ran CCleaner, Auslogics Defrag, and Trend Microsystem's security program, and stopped the indexing process and a few others. Still no speed increase and still unstable.
It appears that I will have to perform a repair of Vista to see if that works. My next step will be to run a HDD test with a Hiren's Boot CD.
Does anyone have any other suggestions/ideas on this?
As always, thank you in advance for your great advice!
