I was just wondering, does anyone sell range extenders anymore? I was looking for some for a couple of clients and it seems they've all been discontinued. What took their place? I have AP's, but the clients are insistent on going wireless to wireless. Is this even supported anymore? I've been out of the networking loop for a while, so this has come as quite a challenge.

You can get all kinds of amplifiers, repeaters etc. Just do a quick google search for wifi amplifiers or antennas. There are sites that specialize in this stuff. The sky's the limit in price.

Many routers can be configured as wireless repeaters. I did one recently in a large house (10,000+ sq. ft.). One end of the house got a weak signal. I purchased the same router they already had (a Netgear Wireless N), placed it in a location where a good signal was received and configured it as a repeater. Full wireless connectivity throughout the house now.

I got some Edimax ones from Amazon.co.uk and they work perfectly, there were loads of different manufacturers selling them.

Thanks
