MAR stands for Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher Program

Looks like you are going to need an qualified MAR OEM disk.
Not Sure Tho

Heres a link for more info About the MAR Program (Looks like you would have to be refurbishing 5000 pc's a year to qualify for a MAR kit.)

http://oem.microsoft.com/public/oem/refurb/mar_factsheet.pdf

Googled a fix to your problem With No avail. I will keep looking tho

Most pcs refurbished under MAR in th UK come from Local Council or Colleges sources.
Try them, they may point you at a charitable organisation doing the recycling. Such an outfit can also be a good sources of old parts.

Those systems are supposed to be sold with recovery media. I guess the end user doesn't have them (as usual), correct?

Does the COA list the refurbisher's name? Maybe they can be contacted for replacement recovery media.

I've just got my first one of these on my workbench. The sticker shows "XP Pro MAR"

Trying a repair install with Pro OEM but the key didn't work. Now starting a Retail....

Anyone got experience on this one? It's got a key but does it count as Corporate, Retail, or Upgrade? Or, does it have its own version of Pro entirely?

Edit: Retail worked. Note to self for next time.
