I think this is the best category for this post but tell me otherwise.
So a customer would like to do a massive update on their system, they are a shipping company that needs to keep track of different pallets of products and fridge stock. They would like to have handheld barcode guns (like you see in the supermarket) that they can scan different codes and information into and sync it with a Access 2007 Database that they have made. They have this database on one computer right now and are typing all info in manually.
What I plan to do is split the database and store it on a server and put the front end of the database onto these mobile computers. But I can't seem to find a solution on how to actually access the database from the guns.
So does anyone know how I could allow access to the database via a mobile device running Windows CE 6.0 Mobile?
Plan B is to setup a new database with a proper commercial solution with SQL etc
