I have a weird ass freaking bug to report. NONE of the 20+ machines on my network that I installed the 1809 update on worked properly on the internet. It was really weird though because some pages worked and some pages didn't (I could Google "Thunderbird," pull up the download page, but when I hit the download button I would get a DNS error). The 10 or so other machines that still had 1803 worked just fine. I changed the DNS server on my router to 1.1.1.1 and everything seems to be working fine now. The 1809 machines would also work fine when using the mobile hotspot on my phone. But using the default DNS from Comcast caused about 1/2 of the pages on the internet not to work, but ONLY on the machines I had updated to 1809.

I think networking is f*cked up on 1809 worse than anyone realizes. I'm delaying updating my images and neutering them until they get this sh*t sorted out.

Upgraded/clean installed 10 so far in the last week or so. No issues with anything; internet or otherwise..

I just don't understand it. I would have thought that it was a DNS issue, but seeing as everything still worked on the 1803 machines I can't help but conclude there's some sort of problem with 1809. I'm going to wait a few days, switch the DNS server back, then try again. I'll keep my other machines on 1803 so I can test and see if they still work after switching the DNS server back.

Sophos Endpoint security seems to be a problem in some of the cases. I would also be suspicious of any kind of traffic-intercepting AV or firewall except for built-in ones.

This has been reported by alot of users as well as breaking of mapped network drives which is REALLY bad because many businesses use mapped network storage how could they let this out with this bug!.
Also mail program was released with a beta build with ads this just keeps getting worse.

Another 2 upgrades to 1809 from Win 7 today. No problems whatsoever.
Mapped drives works as intended and mail app (for one of them) works as it should. (The other laptop doesn't use the mail app)

Businesses should be in the semi-annual channel, and not subject to this release for another 5 months.
