What's the title on your business card?

I'm having new ones made up, and my personal feeling is that "CEO" & "President" are inappropriate when you're the owner of a company with 10 or less employees. I'm also not really fond of "Owner" either, but I can certainly understand why some of you might like that one. I'm looking for something more like:

Systems Technician
IT Systems Designer
Lead Technician
Senior Technician
Senior Technical Advisor

Thoughts?

ETA: What do I do? My company does breakfix and consumer support, but I want my business card to work when proposing on larger contracts. I once met the owner of a 30 million dollar company who had "National Sales Director" on his business card... I wonder what his angle was.

I don't have anything on my card. Company logo and contact details are enough if it's just you.
I wouldn't put owner or anything showing responsibility otherwise you may end up with people thinking you can do them a deal every time they contact you.

I'm the same, just blank with my name, logo and contact details. If they want to read about me they can go to my website but the card is just handed out so they will know my role at that point :) If I have just fixed a computer I am a technician or if it at a company discussing their needs I can be a consultant. :)

My title on my business card is: "Fixer"

It gets right to the point of what people are looking for, and they love it.

have two business cards main one give out all the time has no title on it.

Other card used for long term clients i have the title: "i fix pc's with thingymybob wrong"

My Business card title

Mine reads:

Computer Technician / Licensed VA State Electrician

.. as I am an electrician.

Sincerely,

Owner & Technician

Straight to the point.

I didn't want to go with "Lead Technician" or any of that type as I'm proud of being the owner of my business. I want my customers to know I am the owner. It also gives the impression that you aren't the owner, and that the business is actually bigger than it is.

The title on my card says, "Systems Administrator". That's basically what I do. Most of my clients are business clients, and a lot have servers on-site. It's also my MS credential, so it just made sense.

My title on my card is Computer Technician.

Seemed to be good at the time. But, looking back
perhaps I should have also included Owner.

Just my 2 cents...

I'm CEO...Bi&$#.

Ha, nah. I wish. Mine says "Technician", but my resume says my real position of "Lead Technician".

I love this post! I have wanted to rant on about title inflation for a long time. I go to a lot of networking events and get cards from many entrepreneurs, most with no employees, just themselves. Most cards say "President, Founder, CEO" etc...drives me nuts.

Most of my titles are "Computer Repair Gal"

On occasion I use "Owner" if I'm emailing someone that needs to know I'm in a decision making position. Otherwise, it's simple. Sometimes my email sigs reflect I am the owner, but not always.

Does anyone put any data on the reverse of their business cards?

If not, I think its a lot of wasted advertising space.

The front of mine, is the logo, Company name, my name, and address, contact no's, website, email etc.

The reverse, lists a lot of the services I offer.
