What is wrong with this hard drive?

I don't see anything wrong with it - other than the screws are missing!

The spinulator is no longer attached, and it seems to be missing the steel wool pad insert that removes fingerprints from the platter.

Looks like the work of that family member we all hear about. You know, the one who is taking computer science and knows everything there is to know about computers. It looks to be a successful attempt to remove that unwanted malware too.

Did you forget to "shake well before using"?

Put all the parts in a 250 degree oven....be careful not to allow any parts to touch.
Wait exactly 28 minutes, 33 seconds.
Then put in Freezer for 2 hours, 15 seconds.....again, do not let any parts touch each other.
Clean all parts with gasoline......while cold. Be careful, this part can be dangerous. Make sure you do it after the oven and in a well ventilated area.
Allow to air dry for 24 hours.
Assemble parts.
Should now work as good as a refurbished one, (they do the same thing, I'm told).
