I always struggle with any kind of insurance. Trying to arm myself with any insight on insurance that a PC Tech should get, prior to getting on the phone with insurance agents.

I'll be offering Pick UP delivery, on-Site , no employees (til later)
If I missed anything please post as I like to be covered with what I need and not what insurance try to sell.

Anybody have any good company's to deal with in FL would be a big help to me.

At minimum you want to have liability insurance. I have liability and professional insurance.

Here is some info from techinsurance.com -

Great info

This is what makes Technibble great. Folks post info, folks share & moderate the info and we all learn.

- only neg is search. I try to search anything prior to posting search results could be improved. I don't believe it's a Technibble issue more a forum engine issue see that all over the place.

Hi Bab,

You need liability insurance at minimum. I went to techinsurance and got all my information together and then got my insurance through the same company I have I use for my homeowners insurance.

Good luck Bud.

PS: No matter what insurance you choose. Make sure you have proper work orders with customer signatures, and effective disclaimers to protect yourself. Doing any work without a signed work order w/disclaimer will leave you open for anything.

Actually, that is a different interview Bryce did. I interviewed Jim on The Force Field podcast. However, Bryce did a great job covering all the bases and the information is basically the same.

Cool. didn't know there was so many interviews. Popular guy at techinsurance, LOL

Needs to add PC Tech w/o Storefront

checked out techinsurance.com

not for nothing but the options drop down seemed did not list the PC tech without retail store option.

HI Bab, are you sure? I remember doing a quote with them, and property insurance was separate.

You may want to check again or email/call them.
