As the title states what do you think about my new cards? (I was using VistaPrint cards but they looked rather corny). Please keep in mind with the text around the bottom is set within the bleed area which will get cut off during the printing process.

New Cards are in!!!

I like it a lot actually

I would put the tagline directly under the business name, rather than under the URL. It would make for a cleaner connection between your name and what you do.

Personally I think double sided is the way to go - keep the front clean, then put details on the reverse - in this instance I think the '10% off" could be be removed from the front, placed on the back, and expanded into something with a bit more 'hook'. Its conversion potential Im talking about - in this regard a business card is no different from any other piece of sales copy. The objective being that if someone gets the card (through whatever means) there's something on there that compels them to (a) KEEP IT, and (b) ACT ON IT - ie, phone you seeking services. Im not sure that "10% discount" in-and-of-itself is quite as strong a method as could be achieved by expanding the offer / service benefits on the reverse.

I was in a large chain retailler yesterday and they had cards on the counter "free performance tuneup - value $49. In other words they were quantifying the dollar value of the offer. Im not suggesting this is necessarily THE approach to take -just that there's something in a 'value proposition' thats possibly a bit harder for customers to walk away from. So, what does "10%' mean in real terms? (if you get what I mean)

And/or services list expanded. Dont rely on people visiting the site to get info. Some people will only act if they can see what they want immediately. One approach is to make this available to circumvent a 'leak' between business card - website or business card - phone call.

I also think its worth adding a QR code if there's space. Once someone has scanned it, you're always in their devices, even if they lose the card. Its another way of making yourself 'stick'

Good work though. It looks really nice :)

Oh - one more thing - make sure you have (if you havent already) considered the bleed space required by the printer around the edge of the card. This is a common mistake people make by putting info too near the edge - you may have factored this already - I just mention it because it can save time on moving everything if the measurements havent been implemented at the outset.

Hi i like it lot too. Just one question if you not mind did you make it yourself or did you use a website to design it.

Branding wise. The one thing I noticed that may be off is your logo. I don't see that on the card. And your logo is blue and the card is orange, unless you plan on changing it. Otherwise, I really like your new card... you make me want to upgrade my own.

The card looks great. I really like the color scheme you chose. I recently had some business cards printed from kustomprintz. I was really impressed with their work. I got 1000 cards (thick and glossy) for $26 with shipping included. Don't know if you already have a printer lined up. Just thought I'd share. Good work.

Here's their link just in case.

The only thing I would change, is the wording of "NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY". It just gives me the feeling you only care about the new customers. Maybe taking out the word ONLY, 10% OFF FOR NEW CUSTOMERS - seems a bit softer.

In regards to the design, I actually like it alot.

"free diagnostic report ($35 value)" Sound better?

I'm more of a tech then a sales and marketing person so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Its about value proposition. The idea being to propose value in a way that the customer can perceive something of worth to them. So they feel compelled to ring you because its something they want to get from you.

What can you dangle in front of them that:

(a) is easy and cost effective for you to provide for the purpose of building new business and add-on sales, (ie, the Hook)

and,

(b) has real perceived value in the eyes of the majority of end-users who might seek services from you? (ie the population of customers who might receive this business card through various means)

Do you feel that your prospective customers will jump at the prospect of getting a "Free Diagnostic Report" from you?

Considering that almost everyone near me charges for diagnostics starting at $49 and up

Clean looking graphics, and I like the colors...go together well.

We utilized the back of our biz cards to list the services we focus on.
And it has some dotted lines on the back to jot things down on. Often when handing out cards...you want to jot something specific down for the person you are handing it to.

We went with a similar approach to yeOldeStonecat. We put the technicians name and contact info on the back in the lower third and left the upper two thirds blank to write notes on. software names, appointment times, etc.

Also, I'm always hesitant to put owner on my cards. I usually put head technician or something like that. Makes it kind of sound like the company has a larger full time staff than just myself.
