Hi all,

Has anyone been seeing "werfault.exe error....the application could not access memory at blah..blah...blah?

Strange thing is....this is happening to both my laptop and 2 desktops.

I haven't had any calls from customers yet, but probably will.

All machines are running WIN7 Home Premium SP1 and are 64bit.
All Acers
Different models, ram, etc.

My temp fix so far has been to disable the Windows Error Reporting service.
It seems to be working so far and seems to be what most "Google" searches say. Some say drivers...programs...etc., but these are all different machines.

Although this is working, I would still like to know what is causing the issue.
The only thing common to all machines is Windows Updates just installed and new version of JAVA installed this past week.

I would would like to tell my customers something other than "Oh, we will just turn it off". Doesn't sound too professional if I can't tell them why to turn it off.

Your thoughts please.

Nope.

None of the machines have Logitech cameras on them.

I'm beginning to think it may have something to do with Java 7 version 3 update 64bit that was just installed.

I'm trying out a laptop without any Java installed.

I'll keep you posted on how it works out.

Ok,

I've just used system restore on one of the laptops as a test. Restored back about 2 weeks and no issues.

I'll now add the updates and changes 1 at a time and see if I get the same problem.

Strange that it is on several different computers.

I'll keep posted.
