WEBSITE Opinion.

It is clean and neat. The white on grey doesn't really stand out but you may not want it to. Very minor but the telephone numbers with no formatting (XXX) XXX-XXXX look a little unprofessional, everything else is good. Better than I what I see in my area by a long shot.

Edit: Oh and I just noticed the "Services" page. A little corny in my opinion. Maybe you were going for corny? :)

Oh, the number was kinda tacked on. I'm going to have that designed as well. That's just a placeholder. They aren't even real number lmao.. LOL yes, I was going for corny. It was intentional.

I looked at it for a second or two until my eyes glazed over, and moved on.
The grey on grey is hard to read, the menu feels cluttered and disorienting and the general flow or spacing of the site doesn't read well.

The "grey" is white. The menus feel cluttered and disorienting, explain that. The general flow and spacing, you mean its cramped? If so i kinda agree.

The grey I'm talking about is grey. Your about us page has grey text on a grey background. That's not as bad as the "Rex builds" page, where you have different shades of grey with grey text.

The menus are almost unnecessary, in my opinion. You don't have enough real content to justify breaking your services into so many pages. A single page for Virus removal...another for "dust removal", Data protection, Data recovery, pc/mac tune up, etc? As I see it, you offer computer repair, mobile setup/repair/whatever, home theater installation... Look at the broader categories instead of trying to make all of these pages to be able to say "I do it all!" or whatever you're going for.
SO...back to the menus... If I click services, I want to see what you do...not click through different pages. One page for services, not menus. Same idea with all of the others.

And, on the flow/spacing...I mean, it doesn't flow. It doesn't read well. Part of this is the menus. Part of it is that you have all of the graphics and no real information, or the information is all divided up... My eyes glazed over looking at it.

I will work on making the site easier on the eyes. I do agree on the "information" being somewhat lackluster. I have to get working on "refining" everything. I agree with you entirely on those points and am actually glad that you pointd them out. I can't really agree with you on making the services broader because I can just see that causing alot of clutter. Means that I'd either have to give vague descriptions or cram more on each page. Each service works differently so they all deserve their own page.

I do agree about the services page; how about i hide all the drops downs and have a GUI directing the user to all the different pages and have a back button on each individual service bringing them back to the services page? Infact I'm going to try that on some of the other pages. Gonna cut the amount of drop downs way down

Like the Site! Liked you on FB

Simple to Follow and looks clean and neat. I think as a potenial custmoer maybe a bit more detial on the services, like when you do Dust Recovery what that entails.

I like that you get a good overview and then use a kind of Iconed approach to drill down and can keep cliking on things and get more and more specific and detailed the further you go. It seem to be the Windows 8 Concept if you have used the Beta. That is a good practice on getting people to be interested in you from your site.

On the About the Rex Page the spacing is off for the spacing of the text under The "Rex" Protects. At least in IE8

THANKS! I'm glad you saw where I was going with that. I feel like when people go to a site they aren't there to read. I tried to make it as simply as a children's book but at the same time comprehensive, clean, and to the point. Yes, i did get a good look at what they did with windows 8. It's interesting. Seems very tablet-centric

Not sure if it is my internet but Im on a 5mb connection, and the page loaded kind of slow.

If your on cable your probably getting anywhere from 2-3 mb download speed. And of that 2-3 your probably only getting about 1.5-2 mb of that at any given moment.. Then it also depends on how well optimized your browser is. Then CPU speed has to be factored in etc etc.

Either way, im in the process of compressing the images as we speak :)

With 50 down your site loads slowly for me, might want to bump your hosting a bit. Go to starbucks and give it a shot, see how it loads for you.

What's slow 1 second. 2. 3? I'm curious. I may have to compress the file size of all the images.

I just compressed the background and logo to much smaller size. That should have brought the load times down alot.

Aesthetically, not bad. However, after reading some text it appears you need to spell check ('sync' isn't spelled 'Synch'). I'd also recommend changing the font so it's not something too formal like Times. Not sure what the deal is with the two phone numbers.... You should change the title bar too from 'Portal - www.hightechrex.com' to 'High Tech Rex'. Other than that it seems alright. Not a fan of the flash though
