I went for 3ix hosting after all. I just have to get my site setup online now (I have the web design completed). I went to change domain name but 123-reg (who I got domain name from) state my domain is not on their nameservers. I guess it must be with the guy who went out of business.

I cannot contact this guy (he never replies since he went bust - not sure if he even gets the e-mails or not anymore). In which case, how do I get the site on-line again?

Previously all I had to do was move it to the guy and upload my web pages. However how will not being able to contact the guy affect me? I'm wondering if I should have choose domain transfer instead? Heck I'm thinking I probably should have just made up a new domain name bought it and and saved the hassle. I think it's too late for that now though?

Do a search for the domain name and see where it is registered. If it was thru 123-reg then it will show up. If it is the persons name that could be a problem. If you try domain transfer it will send an authorization to whoever the registrant is to approve it. If that is not you then you will still have the same problem.

I take it you are talking about a WHOIS Lookup? I did this and it states the Registrant is me and the Registrar is indeed 123-Reg. Do I need to send the domain transfer through myself?

Just submitted to change my nameservers to the ones the new hosting company provided. Hopefully this will work. Time will tell (approx 48 hours - I'd say I'll know in 24... hopefully).

Ok well I uploaded my pages to the public_html folder and waited...
something has changed. Now when I goto www.goodvibeit.co.uk (my site) I'm getting:

Index of /

* cgi-bin/
* images/
* postinfo.html

Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.goodvibeit.co.uk Port 80

What's that all about?

Hmm working on it at moment and getting somewhere. I'd uploaded to root folder thinking by clicking on html folder then uploading, i was uploading to it... what a dumbass! Correcting now.

Lol just had a quick browse over your site. Nicely done!

Clean, simple, Web2.0 =)
I'd just keep your fonts (specially in the content areas) consistent. And great use of the <meta> tags :)
