Vulnerabilities in Gadgets Could Allow Remote Code Execution

Kinda boils down to common sense of where and what you install. Think about Droid phones.....do you install "any old app"?

Or...are you careful and smart and only install apps from trusted sources?

This sidebar/gadget thing is the same logic.

Yes but does android disable app feature totally so this can't happen from what i hear they will disable gadgets permanently in vista,windows 7 and windows 8.

I'm just talking about end user common sense (or lack of).

Similar to screensavers in Windows...how many times have you seen malware get installed on a PC due to the end user finding some "cool desktop theme"...that comes with some malware tucked in it?
