I am trying to get my head around this problem
My phone line comes into the house. (provided by BT O) I don't want to port my number to any VoIP Provider. I used to have a cable around 50m to my workshop but had to disconnect it as my fiber was fitted the engineer found a fault and as it's internal; wiring he would fix it. I was losing 20mb with it connected.
Now I can't receive calls in my workshop. But I have forward my calls to my mobile for a quick fix. So can take them on my phone for now. But is this possible?
Office number 123
VoIp Number 789
Forward 123 to 789 and I can talk away to clients all day.
I forward my calls to a voip provider. Then I can accept incoming calls on my office number from said voip provider. (I will also pick a service with voice mail to email)
I am able to make outbound calls on my office number as my fiber provider a VoIp service to allow this but not inbound.
For a temporary/long term solution this should work?
I can't fully really on my mobile as the signal is poor at best. as a few TN members will be able to confirm.
