Vista laptop is freezing

Hi all, I got a Vista computer coming in today. It freezes once something like itunes is run or after 5 minutes or so. I am thinking it must be a virus or software conflict. I was wondering what the best approach is to figure out what is bugging it? Normally I would just look for the naughty program on Task Manager then figure out what it is, But I was thinking there must be some better aproach! So any ideas?

Hey bagellad,

If the virus check doesn't help try checking the Application and System logs in Event Viewer (eventvwr), it might give you some clue.

An application "like iTunes" - does that mean it happens when they play music/download music etc... could be software, as you say. I'd get some more info from the user, see if you can find a trend...
