Hey Folks,

I mentioned in a previous thread about what sort of company car to get. We recently bought a used, low mileage Scion Xb which fit the bill quite nicely. We are now looking to get it lettered. I've been looking around google images to get ideas on what to put on the car (Besides the obvious Logo, phone number and website).

I like the idea of listing services we offer, but i'm unsure which ones to put up. the biggest part of our company we are trying to grow is our Managed services business. However putting "Managed services" on the side doesn't really say much (I can't picture a business owner seeing this and saying "oh wow, they do that? I should call them!).

For those who have lettered/wrapped a company vehicle, What services did you feature on the lettering?

  • Business IT Packages
  • 24-Hour Emergency Response

24 hour support? We don't offer this, I'm honestly not sure how someone could. We have a few seasonal clients that pay for on call support til 10PM when they are in season. But thats as far as we go.

Business It packages might work, still looking for some other options tho.

We have these on ours;

-Managed Business IT Solutions
-24Hr Emergency Call Out
-Networking
-Repairs & Installations

Be careful on how much you decide to put on, less is more when it comes to vehicle graphics.

^^^ True. Ask yourself how much you can read while driving at 40MPH or so. You only see a new vehicle for a few seconds.

"Residential and Business Computer Support"
"Call: 555-1234-555"

Gets their attention. Your main aim is to get people to contact you.

This. Simple is better. The point of the ad on the car is so that people remember the name and use it to find you in other advertising media.

I sometimes wonder if a QR code to your website would be helpful. OTOH most people don't know what a QR code is.

24-Hour support for business are practically essential though. I'll gladly wake up at 3am to do some PC work if I can charge twilight prices. All you have to do is make it worth it.

As a business owner (non-tech related) I would not even consider signing a contract with any of my service companies if they didn't provide 24-hour support. Some businesses run 24-hours a day and require 24-hour attention.

I would recommend keeping the amount of text to a minimum. Here is my previous vehicle that I had done with vinyl lettering/graphics.

I have no problems waking up at 3am to work on a problem and charge high rates. I've done this before in certain circumstances, but living in a small town, We don't have any clients that are open 24 hours. (the town basically shuts down at 5pm). We mainly work with small businesses that are open 9-5 hours, and a few seasonal clients that pay us additional for after hours support with a priority phone number when they are in season.

Sort of off topic, how do you provide 24 hour support? I'm guessing calls after hours are billed additional at a significantly higher rate and not included in an unlimited service plan? (if not it could be ripe for abuse). I'm also guessing you have a hidden phone number that is only given out to MSP clients for 24 hour support?

Our MSP offering covers unlimited 9-5 support, with add-on options for after hours support if required.
