*Urgent* Migration transfer

How accurate is the time estimation on the migration assistant? I initially started a transfer via WiFi it estimated about 4.5hrs to do the migration. I stopped that and instead decided to do a direct ethernet connection to my dismay the time estimate was 10hrs??? How the heck does that work....I'm hoping its just stuck on a large file or a bunch of really small ones. Oh its about 38GB being transfered.

I figured it, was a bad ethernet cable I was using switched to another and it took 30mins

It should be done by about 830, don't worry.

It's decently accurate. The biggest problem is the continuous stream, cause if it slows, it'll take a little longer.

Next time please, add a lot more details. I don't know if your transferring from a MacBook to an iPod (non-literal example).
