Have some small MGE and APC UPS. It is hard to find battery pack in Toronto. Want to buy a good UPS for the server, would like to buy a APC 700-1200 VA. Any suggestions?

How many watts do you need? Thats the real question. APC is a good company. Just make sure the drivers work with whatever O/S you are using on the server. You want a period of time before the batteries run out of juice and then do an orderly shutdown. Just buy a little bigger than what you actually need. Batteries really only last about 3 years and need replacement. I would think that you could find replacement batteries on the web somewhere - perhaps Amazon. I dont stock batteries because by the time you need to use them they can be end of life.
