I am trying to upgrade the boot ssd for a Lenovo IdeaPad U310.

It came with a 24GB mSata SSD and I am trying to upgrade the boot SSD to a 120 GB mSata SSD.

So far I have imaged the drive with True Image and then restored it to the new drive. After I install the new drive the computer will not boot.

See image for error screen.

Any help with this would be much appreciated!

EDIT: THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!

If this is a Windows system, try getting a Windows 7/8 whatever version installer you would use and try to ruin startup repair and see if it can automatically fix it.

I remember when I got my Lenovo T440s and snagged an SSD for it, my first two attempts with TrueImage did the same thing.
Used Crucials clone tool after that...worked.

Bootloader looks wrong. Usually the Win7/8 disk's "automatic repair" fixes the issue but if not boot into recovery then cmd prompt: "bootrec /rebuildbcd" usually fixes that issue.

Had this last week with a new Toshiba C50. Could not get it booting. Did everything mentioned here. Eventually I booted to ODD and ran Toshiba System Recovery from the cloned SSD which factory reset it but on the SSD. Worked.
