Well this is a first for me. My unifi controller decided it wanted to start showing me the new setup screen instead of logging in. I do have a backup, but I've seen some other reports of this issue, so I'm going to see if Ubiquiti support can figure out the cause.

You got it on Winders or *nix?
I haven't seen it widespread...but have seen one of two posts about it over on the forums. Wondering if the issues can be with a failing hard drive, and the Mongo database just corrupts.
I have scheduled daily snapshots made of our controller up at RackSpace.

This one's on Windows. I logged in, everything was fine, 20 minutes later I revisit the tab and I see the setup screen. Maybe I should just spin it up on a linux VM next time.

Ubiquiti was less than helpful for providing answers, maybe I should have went to the community instead. I got tired of it and just loaded up my backup.

Their forums are what the main support is from, that's been their original plan. Post there, in the Unifi sub forum.
When I've had problems, their support has been stellar starting from posts I've made. I've had UBNT staff directly involved, and top UBNT star members.

Just as an example of their community support, that difficult project I had doing the 6 mile shot to the school....I had a forum member that is a WISP in California via phone and remote...helping for over an hour and a half. And another ISP guy from up north more in New England..help via phone, as well as both of them and many other members providing tons of support in the forum.
