Ultimate Virus Scanning Desktop

Hitman Pro seemed to run slow on the computers that I tried it on. Upwards of 30 minutes vs 10-15 minutes for mbam/sas and manual removal.
Am I the only one that sees this?

I presume you're clearing out temp files from all the usual locations before you scan?

Yes, I clean out temp files. I have had a lot of older computers that I have run it on, maybe that is the reason. Need to find some newer ones and run it.

I have a couple of scanning PC's setup but nothing automated.

What I'd love to have is multiple av's on a machine on which I can manually select which drives to scan.

So what AV can I install on a machine which:
- don't effect other av's installed and don't install realt time engines
- allow for the selection of which drives to scan
