trouble with AVG8

I had to uninstall AVG8 the free version two times at one of the clients place to install kaspersky.even tho i have uinstalled AVG ,kaspersky is still detecting avg in the system .I tried using avg installer yet the problem is still there.can someone help me out to get rid of avg

delete the following reg keys

Use Revo Uninstaller, that will definately remove all traces.

Yeah use RevoUninstaller, it will remove the registry files as well as the install files for AVG. I stopped using AVG about a year ago, after they wrongly detected one of my system files as a virus, and my being trustworthy with AVG, i just deleted all files; which made my computer unbootable.

AVG has a removal tool on their site. This should do the job:

I wouldn't put too much faith in AVG. I think there's a lot of hype over it. I had a computer that clearly had viruses. I took out the hard drive and connected to my computer. I ran AVG from my computer twice, doing a full system scan, and it found no viruses. I used Kapersky and it found between 10 to 15 viruses. Adaware also found a bunch of Adware.
