Thinking of setting up a computer repairs boot on school campus.

I think this depends on where you are located at, In the US, if it's college students, they will probably use google or ask their geek friend for a favor. ;) Not sure other parts of the world.

A lot of that is a sales and marketing issue - "Sure you can spend time searching forums and watching videos then try it yourself - or you can have us do it, we've done repairs like that before and will save you time and hassle."

When I worked at a ComputerLand franchise many years ago, one of the sales people struck up a deal with a local (and pricey) arts college for repairing students computers. It didn't end up being a good deal for us.

While yes colleges do have their own IT....it's in-house IT and they usually aren't setup retail, they are overwhelmed with in-house IT related stuff.

While we in the US do have these entitled millennials....I'm not sure about the culture of the OPs country there, I might think students in those colleges are more appreciative and hungry for success. I don't know for sure but I suspect that computers may be older, budgets may be lower, and parts...pricier and harder to get.
