Some Technibble members may remember the thread about the survey I conducted a few months ago. First, thanks for those who participated in the survey, I really appreciate the input.
Well, the results are in and have been published in a 20 page report. We also review the report it in a special episode of The Force Field podcast that was released last night 11/22/2012.
The show includes comments from techs who participated in the survey and their views on nationals, platforms and the IT service industry in general. There were so many comments the show ran almost an hour and I had to edit it down for time. The tech comments are not published in the report. You can only hear them on the show.
The link to the report is mentioned at the end of the show and in the show notes. I invite everyone to listen to the show, download the report and discuss it here. If you do any contract work for nationals or are a member of a web based service platform such as OnForce or Field Nation, you will want to hear and read this report.
If you're new to IT contract work or thinking about getting into it, listen to the report first. It may save you some angst.
